Alabama Chanin is a women’s clothing company based in Florence, AL, hand crafting beautiful pieces with organic cotton. Alabama Chanin pieces are made in the U.S. from fiber, organic cotton grown in TX, to final the product, sewn in Alabama. Dedicated to fair trade, owner and creative director, Natalie Chanin, pays local artisans fair wages while keeping the local craft of sewing alive. The company has a ‘no waste’ mission, using scraps for their School of Making DIY kits as well as for making small accessories like face masks. Chanin is also dedicated to honoring the history of the South and those lives the textile industry changed forever through her work with the non-profit, Project Threadways.
